I know it's only the first day of the post-season, but it's not really going to get much better than today. (Unless, you know, something like a perfect game comes up. Extremely unlikely.)

To keep it simple, Phillies pitcher, Roy Halladay has thrown a no-hitter in his first post-season game. Roy "Doc" Halladay threw a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds today. I can't even begin to describe how incredibly impressed I am by this! I'm not going to pretend that I've been watching baseball forever and know the history, but I know that this is extremely special. Especially because he's thrown a perfect game this season as well! (For those of you that don't know, a perfect game means no walks, no hits, and no errors.) I believe there's only been five people to throw a perfect game and a no-hitter in the same season. I'm not exactly sure, but I think that's what SportsCenter said. But I do know, for sure, that he is only the second person in the history of post-season baseball to throw a no-hitter in the post-season. The other was Don Larsen. I cannot even express how much my mind has been blown.
Yankees won. Phillies WON. Rays lost. No classes (because of a freshman retreat). I'm having a fantastic day. But now, duty (aka-homework) calls. Begin the end of my fantastic day.
P.S. - I don't want to bring up this topic today because I'm so happy, but I know I'm going to bring it up. It's the issue on homosexuals. I feel very strongly that they should be treated the same way as everyone else. But I have to elaborate on this one day. I complain about this issue to my mom far too much. I only brought it up because it was on the news, just now.
